We’re there!

At long, long last (after 12 sessions and 6 months) I’m finally (almost) free!

The chemotherapy cycles are all done – the last couple being irritating but much less hassle than the earlier ones: I suspect the adjustment was mostly me, although I did persuade the medical powers-that-be to modify some of the ancillary tableture (and I opted out of a couple!).

Now there only remains a scan (CT type) to look for any obvious signs of metastases (unlikely, as they couldn’t actually see the original in the spring scan!) after which the Oncologists will, with luck, ‘sign me off’ and allow the PICC line be removed.  So: early 2024 it is!

It will be nice to be able to get out and mix again, after almost a year of self-imposed exile (although the nurses reckon it will be at least 3 months before the worst of the symptoms will have worn off – maybe much longer: fun!)

Despite their dire prognostications, I actually feel better already: undoubtedly psychosomatic…

That’s all for now: maybe, sometime in the future, I’ll be able to post about somethong other than nasty illnesses…
